Environmental and social commitments

Beyond being a global issue, looking after the environment is, for LOV Group, an essential responsibility and something they do both for their customers and employees. The group is a leader in all its markets and aims to set an example. Its philosophy is to do as much as possible, and build a concrete and useful environmental policy. Every idea is valued, and the overall policy represents the sum of our collective ideas that together ensure the group is moving towards a greener future and one that respects the planet.

A royal run for a royal cause !

On June 19, sportsmen from Airelles and LOV Group ran 15 kms through the park of Versailles, for the 10th edition of the NordickTrack Running. Since 2011, 500 000 euros have gone to the restoration of the Château's unique gardens.

Le Grand Contrôle, a sustainable hotel

On May 2022, our recycling partner Lemon Tri collected 2604 kg of waste. An appropriate sorting which results in water and energy saving, and in reducing carbon emissions.

Heart and motivation at Ecotrail Paris !

On March 19, a team with LOV, Airelles and Banijay employees ran 10, 18, 30 and 45 km at the Ecotrail Paris, under Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque colours.

An insect hotel in Courchevel !

Since october, just a stone’s throw from le Mélézin, arachnids and beneficial insects can find a winter shelter in a nesting box from the « Jardinage entomologique » company, the French pioneer in the biodiversity havens field. A great initiative on the part of Le Mélézin’s team !

Green team building in Courchevel !

On september 18, teams from le Mélézin and le Chalet de Pierres took part in a cleaning day organized by the local charity Man of the Day. They collected 520 litres of waste and cleaned 6 kms of ski runs, in a joyful atmosphere !

In Courchevel and Versailles' hotels, employees are given GOBI water bottles : eco-designed, 100% Made In France, and manufactured with sustainable materials.

The Suspense thriller, produced by Banijay’s drama company Yellowbird in co-production with Sagafilm dramatize the burning issues of climate change, Arctic exploration and international geo-politics. The thriller’s carbon emissions have been calculated and offset.

Lov group - Wild wondeful denmark

Wild Wonderful Denmark is produced by Banijay’s Mastiff for public broadcaster DR1. It aims to put a focus on the danish nature life and the challenges it faces due to climate change. The format is pitched globally to get as many countries in the world to produce the show to make a massive impact.

Lov group - Peter hansen

Peter Hansen is the Banijay Nordic Chief Creative and green ambassador. It felt like a natural thing to step into the role as a spokesman on endorsing sustainability for Peter coming from a region in the world where it's very much on the agenda. The Danish government has, for instance, adopted a climate law to cut emissions by 70% by 2030.

The Swedish drama series BÄCKSTRÖM for TV4 & ARD was shot in 2019 and is the first scripted production in Sweden to focus on sustainable production and to find a way of producing in a greener way in film & TV. The film production had an Eco-Supervisor to educate all heads of development before the production. It included no air travel in Sweden, and climate compensation for air travel outside Sweden, no non-recyclable items, less use of plastic and always a vegetarian alternative for meals.

LOV Group in the Tour de France !

3 legendary passes, more than 4400m of positive altitude change, and 167kms on a bike between Briançon and l'Alpe d'Huez : on 11 July, Mathias Allard from LOV Group has managed to finish l'Etape du Tour de France, flying the colors of Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque. Alongside 260 « Coureurs du Cœur and 16 000 amateur cyclists, Mathias has made his heart beat during hours and hours, to raise funds to operate on 12 children with heart defects. Congrats Mathias !

Baniday, 22nd June 2022

Thanks to Cyril Hanouna and the Grande Récré Foundation's generosity, kids from Bullion hospital had the joy to be given hundreds of toys for the Baniday, Banijay's solidarity event.

Airelles at Trophée du Cœur

On april 24th, for the second year in a row, Airelles' golf players took part in the Trophée du Cœur 2022, which allows the heart surgery of 11 children. This beautiful solidarity day ended with the gift of a unique experience at Airelles Le Grand Contrôle, Château de Versailles.
